At Hobson’s we are committed to providing our customers with the very best traditional fish and chips. We source fresh fish only from sustainable resources, delivered to us daily from Billingsgate Fish Market.

We only serve the traditional British chip specifically selected for its taste and texture that we peel and cut ourselves.

We prepare and fry our fish and chips separately in pure vegetable oil (not containing animal, hydrogenated fats or additives).


Hobson’s is a family business and a culmination of 25 years in the fish & chips trade, our family has run a fish & chips shops from Cornwall to Lake District After successfully running our Oliver’s fish & chips restaurant in Belsize Park for the last 3 years when opportunity arose to take over this restaurant in Bayswater.

We wanted to do something a little different but still stick to our core principles of fresh fish delivered daily serving the best Peterhead fish and the very best British home grown potatoes, also we decided to do pies here which we haven’t done before so we found one of the best pies in our opinion which are hand crafted by using the very best ingredient thanks to Paul’s pies I think we have one of the best pies around.We fry with the latest technology in frying so we can give our customers the best fish & chips meals they have had.We wanted to give homage to one of the oldest fish & chips shops in Uk Hobbs & sons by using the name Hobson’s.
